Ina-Garten
Ina Garten is a well-known American cook book writer and Emmy award-winning host of Food Networks current oldest show Barefoot Contessa that debuted in 2002, and has been aired for 27 seasons until 2020. Ina started her career creating nuclear energy policies as well as budgets of the White House. Although she found her job to be stimulating intellectually, eventually she stopped her pursuit and bought a tiny specialty store called Barefoot Contessa. It took her 18 years to turn the store into wildly successful, before she closed the business. Then she began writing the first of many cookbooks. Other cookbooks followed, as were magazine articles. The Food Network television program also debuted and quickly became popular. Additionally, she sells items including food-related ingredients, storage containers and equipment. Ina has never been to any cooking school, nor had a job in a restaurant. She has a complete self-taught. Her relaxed approach to entertaining as well as her simple culinary style is widely known. She is known for her simple recipes such as Skillet Baked Lemon Chicken, Macaroni and Cheese made with beef Bourguignon, and Balsamic-Roasted Brussels Sprouts.
